Session 22

November 1st

Now that the classroom is emtpy, the party tries to look for any sign of Iban. Ophelia notices part of a table's runner is burnt and moves it aside. Beneath, Della and Eden recognize an old, arcane symbol of fire. It is also historically used as the symbol of worship for the primordial of fire, Lady Morrakesh. Della is wary of this discovery, especially when Eden finds that the symbol is on the broken table left in the room as well. Regardless of why the symbols are there, they agree there's no sign of Iban.

On their way out Neevan gives them a curious look, but they let her know they didn't find anything to help them. Ophelia pulls the two of them aside to discuss logistics of going to the prison without being suspecious. After some back and forth, they settle on having Della wild shape as a small creture, but alas they are out of magic for the day. Without a better idea present, they opt to spend the day meandering around to think and maybe stumble onto new leads. Eden leads them in the direction of the abandoned temple of Gult without clarifying that is his intent.

Along the way they pass the prison, a cold, grey rectancle of stone. Della takes the opportunity to look closer at the front of the building for possible ways in.

As they're standing around, taking in the prison, the party notices three people going down the same alley next to the prison, all wearing bulky clothes. They take mental notes of that but sadly are too magically depleted to deal with that today.

The higher up they get the more sparse buildings become, the more strangely people look at them. There are two people outside of the temple watching the party approach. They see Eden's holy symbol and ask about his presence. He explains he isn't a Hearthkeeper and came because he'd never met anyone else who worships the gods as he does. Though skeptical, they entertain a bit of conversation, telling Eden he may not be welcome given Aurelia's role in the downfall of the gods. Although a little disappointed, he accepts that, and they take their leave.

They go to sleepy.

November 2nd

DELLAS RAT ADVENTURE INTO THE PRISON.

They enter through a side door down the alley where they saw the three suspecious people yesterday. The stairs descend into the actual holding room, and it's very big. They go right into the empty guard room and skitter under the table—where they see, much to their surprise, the same flame alchemical symbol burned into it that they saw in the classroom. After running around a few more cells, they find out with an animated skeleton in it. Not only that, but they notice the wall at the far end of the room looks off. When they try to approach it the skeleton stops them. Unsure what else to do, Della tries talking to the skeleton. They have a short exchange via yes/no questions, and it seems the skeleton might let them in under the right conditions. But, it's unclear what those conditions are.

They tried to politely leave and look for another way in, but to no avail. Della returns, realizing they could ask specifically about Iban, and describe him to the skeleton asking if the skeleton saw him. After getting some slightly unclear responses, they at least do know Iban is alive and through that room.
