Outset
October 6th
-The center of town is rich, the further from the center the poorer it is-V arrives first but hangs back to scope the scene, Della comes to the door first and is greeted by a young man with white eyes who instructs her where to go inside.
-V goes inside with Eden, and then Ophelia last
-The room is nicer than the rest of the house
-Four men in the room, two guards, Gussalen, the last man wearing dark clothes and dark hair (Berwin), seems more on edge than Gussalen
-Gussalen says the job is for them to search for something that “does not actually exist”. He describes rumors of a creature that stalks the land, rumors he assures are false but widespread. He wants the group to find the source of the rumors, be it person or creature.
-Berwin specifies that they’re looking for a horned beast, and their task is to prove its fake or kill it if its real
-Ophelia is haunted? V has an urchin child he/they!? is taking care of.
-The creature rumors seem to be traveling north/east, leaving behind a wake of chaos and destruction, it’s unpredictable, twists whatever it leaves in its wake, little concrete is known. Last noted around stenhwald
-REPORTS OF SENTIENT PUPPETS?
-We get 10 gold
-Eden is from Clerintine now, della seems relieved that eden is also not human
-V is a sexy sexy big man
-After the meeting is over, the group chats awkwardly gets to know each other a little. Ophelia opts to leave by herself while V, Della, and Eden go to the market to gather last minute supplies. V says he needs to go check on Oliver, the urchin, and invites Eden and Della to come with him.
-They wander to worse parts of town, V seems to have a reputation that keeps anyone from bothering Eden and Della
-Oliver is a 12 y/o scrawny kid, extremely excited when V returns to the bar where he was staying. V isn’t very expressive but his face softens as he bends down to talk to him. Close cropped brown hair and blue.
-They have a good rapport, V gives oliver 5 gold and tells him to buy a dagger
-Ophelia has a patron? Named Magnolina, another possibly named Leon. Ophelia gives Magnolina the letter she received from Gussalen on behalf of the Hearthkeepers. Apparently the letter says that she is leaving for “studies”.
-They’re opera house owners, the patrons
October 7th
-Next day, they all arrive on time at the same house and are led out a side exit of the city by Berwin. They cross the river on a raft and are dropped off at a path in the woods-Feli calls Basil once Berwin has left
-Somewhere along the way, Eden trips and twists his ankle and this slows the pace of the party. He has less stamina than the rest of the party, noticeably.
October 8th-12th
-V tells the party he doesnt sleep, Feli doesnt trust this at all, Della is a little dubious, Eden believes him completely and sleeps through the night. V gets into a routine of waking Della up around the same time-Della and V bond over woodcarving
-V has a large, well kept sword, unusually expensive
-Feli has a longbow that she carved herself
October 13th
-The party exits the forest and now they travel alongside the mountains in foothills-As they head towards Vollendorf, a large shadow passes overhead. Uphill ahead of them, feli notices a rocky outcropping with large gouges in the stone, and bones scattered around. A large creature lands, a Sphinx
-V answers all three riddles. Shockingly.
